Fifth album release by Procul Harum with a different rock style.  Guitar by Robin Trower.  Music by Gary Brooker.

Showed Procol Harum’s ability to reinvent themselves beyond “A Whiter Shade of Pale,” moving into deeper rock territory.

Considered one of their more underrated albums, gaining appreciation over the years for its musicianship and songwriting depth.

5. Power Failure – Driven by percussion; includes a drum solo by B.J. Wilson.
6. Song for a Dreamer – Trower’s Hendrix tribute; psychedelic and spacious.
7. Playmate of the Mouth – Edgy, lyrical tone.
8. Poor Mohammed – Intense closer with powerful guitar work.

Marked Robin Trower’s shift toward a heavier guitar identity, foreshadowing his solo style.

Vintage Collectible record that plays beautifully.  Sounds great with Procul Harum's clean sound. 

Unique cover with die cut holes to reveal portraits of the band members on the inside of gatefold.
