Debut Album - 1968.  The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble was an American rock band active from the late 1960s through the early 1970s. Known for blending classical music with rock, the group offered a unique and innovative sound that garnered both critical acclaim and a dedicated following.

The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble was founded in 1967 by Michael Kamen, Martin Fulterman (later Mark Snow), Dorian Rudnytsky, Clif Nivison, and Brian Corrigan.
All members were classically trained musicians who sought to merge their classical expertise with contemporary rock music.

Their music combined classical instruments such as oboes, cellos, and harpsichords with traditional rock instruments like guitars and drums.
The band's approach often juxtaposed classical compositions (sometimes directly borrowing themes from composers like Bach) with original rock music.
They became known for their theatrical performances, which included switching between classical and rock instruments on stage.

The debut album introduced their signature fusion style.
Tracks like "Wait Until Tomorrow" showcased their classical-rock blend.
