Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers

Art Blakey with The Original Jazz Messengers is a seminal album by the legendary drummer Art Blakey and his influential band, The Jazz Messengers. Originally Released in 1956, it features the group that established the Messengers' reputation as a powerhouse in hard bop jazz.

The album highlights the early formulation of what would become the classic Jazz Messengers sound, combining rhythmic intensity with sophisticated harmonies and blues-based improvisation.

The album listed was a reissue under the catalog number 32 16 0246 as part of Columbia's Jazz Odyssey Series on August 26, 1968.  This reissue presented the original 1956 recordings with a new title and was electronically re-channeled for stereo. 

Vinyl is in Near Mint Condition.  Cover is Very Good ++. Only very minor scuff wear.
